This summer, Instructional Technology is sponsoring a Blended Learning Conference that will launch you into the new school year with renewed inspiration and new tools, skills, and strategies to move your classroom into the 21st Century.
Throughout the day there will be five break out sessions where you will have a choice of 40 unique workshops offered on Blended and Active Learning tools and strategies. We will introduce some new tools that the district is providing for teachers, such as Schoology, our new Learning Management System for Blended Learning.
Be sure to join us for lunch on the football field patio to taste the wide selection of food from our local gourmet food trucks that are sure to satisfy anyone's appetite.
To sign up for this one day conference, go to the Staff Development Catalog and search under the Blended Learning Conference category and register for the Learning Under Construction session. You will receive $11/hour for each workshop that you attend. A list of all workshops will be posted on our website, and you will be able to build your schedule using our SCHED app. Workshops are limited to 25 participants, but many will be offered twice to give you some flexibility in organizing your day.
Come share your knowledge with others. Presenters will be paid $30 for preparation time, plus $20 per hour for presentation time. Proposals for presenting must be submitted no later than the end of the work day on Friday, May 19th. We will let you know by May 30th if your proposal was accepted. Be sure to go to the Presenters tab to submit your proposed session(s).
